Evie Group created a new side to their business titled Evie Presents. Launched in August 2012, as part of The Rocks Pop Up, the initiative aims to support, promote and network with local emerging designers from a diverse range of backgrounds.

The first series of Evie Presents saw Evie Group source, curate and sell 20 shortlisted designers works from fields of architecture, graphic and industrial design, jewellery and objects.

Pieces were held in a three month exhibition in a prime location at 123 George Street (the old Ken Done store opposite the MCA). Works featured included furniture, objects, lighting, home wares, accessories, jewellery, print/graphic design, textiles and soft furnishings and laser etched skateboard decks.

The shortlisted designers were encouraged to present their works to the public and peers in a series of Designer Talks held within the store. This uncovered details about their inspiration, process of making and manufacturing, design thinking and development.
