Lendlease engaged Evie Group to typographically design a series of descriptive word decals for 10 food vendors located within The Exchange Darling Square. These words were to highlight the unique offerings and food styles found within the building to encourage more foot traffic into the new Makers Dozen. The visuals were to reflect each of the brands and their food style without explicitly using their branding.
Approach
10 sets of unique window decals along with 3 uniquely custom door panels were designed for the varying kiosks reflecting their brand and food style. We aimed to bring a positive energy to the decals by using flat illustrations, energetic colours and dynamic typography.
Results
The 10 window decals were installed around the outer facade of the building whilst the 3 door panel illustrations that were designed for 3 of the vendors added some colour to the galvanised steel doors that surrounded each kiosk.
